Today is Thursday, and Dante is kind of upset. Where did the sun go? And what's all this white stuff on the ground and in the garden?
It stretches as far as the eye can see -- all the way down both sides of the street -- but only on the edges.
What's a gardener to do? This problem is too big for any one mancat, or ladycat for that matter! I appeal to you for help, Jonesie!!! Help!
How's a guy to fertilize with this cold stuff coating the garden bed?
Mama says when the sun comes out again, all this white stuff might go away. But then it's gonna come back again, and again and again for months and months. You can "bank" on it, she said!
Mama says even Jonesie can't help us now. It's even on my blog background, too! How flaky can you get?

WE think that cold stuff is heading for us! Mama is excited, but us, not so much. We wouldn't put our delicate little toes in it--we're impressed!

ReplyDeleteDante I am guessing that the ground is getting too hard to fertilize as it gets colder there - I think you will have to do a different type of gardening for a while - but I am not sure what that would be. At least your floof will keep you nice and warm - your brother and sister aren't that lucky!

You'll have to be brave and fertilize the white stuff! But don't crouch too low ~ 'cos if yoo have any it will freeze 'em off! Tee hee!

ReplyDeleteThen the gardening comes inside...in pots. I don't think your type of fertilization is going to work out. That's an outdoor thing...I think.

We have never seen snow, and our mom says that it's unlikely we ever will. We're not sure if that's a good thing or not!

ReplyDeleteOh la la, that looks quite frosty, Dante. In our neck of the woods winters are more of the mellow, wet and grey type. Still cold though! Last January we had a week of snow. Mom says she hopes it will snow again instead of all the grey dullness.
