DANTE: SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Spring isn't the only thing that has sprung around here.

Now that the garden is available as an outdoor litter box once more, Dante 'springs a leak' or two.   What a relief!

Not to be outdone, Spring has a few leaks of its own.

DANTE: FOOTPRINTS

This is Dante in the newly created garden in 2013, which (of course) had yet to be planted.

So, in an effort to help, he planted his feet.

He always said "I likes ta leaf my footprints on effuryfing I doo."

And that he did, over and over again, on my heart ...

... and they are planted there forever!

DANTE IN THE BARE BUSHES

This is Dante one year ago in the front garden.

It was just beginning to shows signs of first growth.

Dante didn't mind that the bushes had no leaves as long as he could see through them.

"All da bettah to see yoo wif!" remarked he.

DANTE: REFUSING TO BE PIGEONHOLED

Here's Dante in a transitional hat and tie which he wore in the Spring of 2015.

The plaid wool-blend flatcap and tie are good for this weather which can vacillate
between warm and cold.

His friend the messenger pigeon had a message for Dante:

"I approves of yoor colour choices!" asserts the pigeon.
"After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, n'est-ce-PAW?"

"At least I'M not pigeon-toed." replied Dante.

DANTE: AFTER THE RAIN

Dante was out front by the driveway which was still wet from the recent rain.

The sun had turned on its high beams and so Dante was beaming, too!
