DANTE: BEAUTY IS THE BEAST!

This is Dante in December 2009 patiently waiting for me to open the front door.

The bounty of his fur coat was at its maximum.

In his case beauty WAS the beast!

And when it comes to beasts, Dante was the King!

DANTE: A LOOK BACK!

Here's a lovely picture of Dante taken in December 2009 in the powdery snow.

It's just another opportunity to take a look back at his wonderful life!

DANTE: WINTER IS FOR THE BIRDS!

Although Dante was a Maine Coon and well-insulated against the cold with his heavy fur coat, winter was not his favourite season.

The birds, on the other paw, seem to be having a blast!

DANTE: DECKING THE DECK!

This is Dante in December 2010 out on the deck.

He was busily decking the deck with boughs of holly.

And meanwhile the birds were having a feast!

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY WITH DANTE: FROZEN!

DANTE: NO MORE FRONT PORCH BLUES

Dante's sitting on the front porch in December 2010 singing the blues because the cold weather is turning his lips blue.  Singing helps to warm them up!

Then he has a much better idea!

So he goes to the forest to gather some wood, and lights a fire.

" Furget dose icy bloos" said Dante.  "From now on it's

only Opusses fur me -- dey're MUCH warmer!"

DANTE: LET IT SNOW!

This is a picture from December of 2014.

Dante was beautiful in any season, but in winter his red fur against the white snow was a standout!

He virtually seemed to glow.  I guess as far as colours go, he was a Winter (just like me).
