Oh that is a wonderful story - I do have to say that I love those squirrels because they are very pretty. And I think Dante is just being nice by not going after them - I don't think they have outsmarted him.

We doesn't get to go outside but we sit in our sun-porch on the back of the chairs and watch those varmits try to get into the birdy feeders momma puts up for our viewing pleasure. Ebby now and then one of those nasty little rodents will try to fly into one of our feeders and miss falling into the bushes below. We laugh and laugh and laugh...and then we take a nap because laughing is a lot of work☺

Hahaha! Dante, you lazy cat, defend your piece of grass!!
I loved the story, it made me smile ;) you truly have a wonderfull kinglike houselion. I'll be visiting your site more often. My little kitten Zeena can play outside when we visit gardens of friends, and she loves to chase the imaginary big bugs. Or make the chickens nervous by staring at them ;)
