DANTE: A BIRDWATCHER'S DREAM

Dante went out in the woods when it was still dark, but he knew it wouldn't be long until dawn.

 While he waited for the sun to rise, he enjoyed the mild temperatures amid the newly fallen snow.

 At first light, two chickadees appeared and nestled in amongst the branches of a birch tree quite close to him.

Before he knew it, he was totally surrounded by birdies.  These ones were beautifully coloured bullfinches.

And then the most gorgeous of all, Mr. Cardinal, came into Dante's sites.

Dante sighed.  It was truly a birdwatcher's dream!!!
