Sometimes Dante can be rather bi-polar -- he's a synthesis of light and dark.
Sometimes it appears as if he's shadowing himself.
His shadow almost has it's own character apart from the sunny Dante we know and love.
Here Dante reflects on himself, and his darker side.
"I nevah knows wen it will emerge", says he ...
"but wen I steps into da lite it has no more power ovah me!"
