DANTE'S ODYSSEY

These are pictures of Dante from last week shortly before he started to show signs of distress.  You can see that he appeared to be absolutely fine even though trouble was brewing within.

And now that Dante's back end has been shaved, we won't see pictures like these for some time to come. Dante in full coat (and butt) are something to behold.

So behold!

Now that he's home, Dante's odyssey is far from over.  He's doing well, though, and keeps on going despite any hardships (and boy, those things are hard!) he might encounter.

As they say "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", and now that he has stepped it up, Dante's journey of a thousand poops is well underway.  Yay!

I am glad Dante is back home and pooping. When Eric was ill several years ago, he also had paralysis of the peristaltic bowel movements but was never diagnosed with megacolon. The vet gave enemas and we gave several at home too but he had to have it manually removed in the end. We watched him like hawks after, but thankfully it never happened again.

Querido Dante, nós ficamos contentes ao saber que você já está no aconchego de sua família. E não se preocupe, seus lindos pelos vão crescer novamente.

His floof is stunning! I hope it comes back quickly, especially considering how cold it is this year! Hope he keeps things going and going and going!

Dante, you had serious pantaloons on you. We bet you feel really chilly when you go outside right now.

Glad to see he is getting better.
