Apparently an enema alone would not rectify the problem. They will have to try stool softeners first, and it may be necessary for Dante to go under anesthesia and have them removed manually.
We are hoping for the best-case scenario, and would appreciate all of your PAWSitive thoughts and healing vibes for Dante.

Oh dear, Skootch has had that problem before. We went through all sorts of procedures and medicines, and after he was cleaned out he went on a daily regimen of lactulose in his food. NOW he has the opposite problem! We hope Dante gets sorted out and returns home soon!

Healing purrs for Dante. I've been through this with one of my cats and we were lucky the situation resolved with lots of fluids, laxatives and enemas. Hopefully that will work for Dante.
