DANTE AT THE EDGE
Dante's sniffing things out at the very edge of the garden.
Everything (except the weeds, of course) has turned dry and brown.
Dante knows that this is just a precursor to winter.
Yet he still finds something interesting enough to gnaw upon.
"I wuz 'chewin' out' da gardin fur leavin' me!", explains Dante who is very territorial about it.
And once the snow comes, he'll have to 'eschew' it altogether!

DANTE THROUGH THE BUSHES
Dante loves to mingle in and around the bushes. He seems attracted to their scent and even likes to gnaw on the leafless branches.
Here are some pictures of Dante 'through the bushes' as he explores all their various possibilities. I have mixed the standard images with those using a 'watercolour effect' which to my eyes gives the impression of an impressionist painting.

A bushy-faced Dante!
(Watercolour effect)
Is Dante purrhaps a little overly amBUSHous?
(Watercolour effect)
Dante seems quite impressed with his own imPURRessions, too!

DANTE'S BED-MAKING SKILLS
There are all sorts of beds, and this one is made of leaves. Consequently, Dante has his own spin on that old bed-related saying.
"Furst yoo hasta make yoor bed ...
... and stomp it down good ...
... before yoo kin lie in it!

DANTE'S QUARRY
Dante, like all cats, is a born hunter.
Here you can see the dilation in his eyes when he first spies his prey.
And the pupils only widen as his quarry comes closer.
Unsuccessful at capturing said quarry, Dante now hides behind a nearby tree and doesn't move a muscle, hoping against hope that his mark will move towards him so he can pounce.
But unfortunately, the beastie scampered away and Dante has now lost sight of him.
"I wondah ware dat liddle suckah got to?" asks Dante.
"I fooled dat stoopid cat again, Estelle!"

DANTE IN A BED OF LEAVES
Dante is relaxing outside on a bed of leaves. He seems rather comfortable and doesn't move for quite some time, giving me an opportunity to take lots and lots of pictures.
The lighting in November has changed significantly from the past couple of months. It is quite a bit darker and more somber, though Dante himself seems to be in good spirits.

Dante sure doesn't seem in a hurry to get out of bed, does he?
