DANTE: SWEATER BOY!

These are pictures of my cuddly boy taken a year ago in January.

 In the last years of his life, Dante suffered from arthritis in his hips, so aside from just modelling the sweater, it helped to keep him warm outside in the winter.

And although he was such a handsome boy, he could also be just downright 'cute'!

DANTE: DIGGIN' IT!

This is Dante in our back yard in the winter of 2011.

I'm not sure if it's typical of Maine Coons, but Dante certainly loved to dig.  He'd dig in the garden mulch in warm weather, and in the snow in winter.  Of course much of this digging had a very distinct purrpose (emphasis on the stink)!

The outdoors was one big kitty litter to Dante.  He always made good use of whatever was around him.

This picture is particularly pretty (if you don't think about the circumstances) given the lightly falling snow.  It captures a moment in time for all time.

DANTE: PHILOSOFUR EXTRAORDINAIRE!

Here's a lovely portrait of Dante from the winter of 2010.

He's sitting on the deck in the back yard looking like the philosoFUR that he truly was.  In many of his photos, he appears to be deep in thought.  One can only imagine what was going through his mind at the time; which of the world's greatest mysteries he was trying to unravel.

Whatever it was ...

... Dante was purrpetually on 'top' of it!

Here's Dante in the winter of 2010.

Dante's staring straight into the camera like he's in direct communication with you.  He always was a very straightforward kinda cat.  What you saw is what you got!
