WORDLESS WEDNESDAY WITH DANTE: STALEMATE!

NUT SO EASY ON SUNDAY WITH DANTE: CRUNCHY CRITTERS!

Once again it's Sunday and Dante is trying very hard to relax on the deck bench.  After a long day chasing squirrels through the brush and brambles, he's looking forward to a good long rest.

Dante just lies back and is about to close his eyes ...

... when he hears a rather loud crunching sound!

"O good grief!  Not YOO again!!!", exclaims Dante.

Then his ears perk up once more when he hears the same crunching sound -- this time in stereo!

"Weely?", says he, giving the little rogue a raspberry in return.

 "Get outta heer and leave me in peace!", Dante shouts.

All to no avail.  "Dere's nuttin' worse dan lissening to loud chewing sounds -- speshully wen dey're NOT yours!"

Dante is furious!  He's considering whether to run the little squirrel burgers out of there, or to barbecue them.

"Oh Heaven helps me", he says finally.  "I gives up!  Live and let eat -- kin I go to sleep now?"

THURSDAY IN THE GARDEN WITH DANTE: MOTHER MAY I?

Dante is in the back yard celebrating Mother Nature in all her glory.  And what better way than to play a game of "Mother May I?".  It is May, after all.

"Efurryfing is gettin' verreh green", says Dante. "Mudder Naychur has sent sum rain to kwench da earth.  An' yoo noes wot dat duz, huh?  Earth an' rain makes MUD!  An' I reely, reely DIGS mud.  Hooray fur Mudder Naychur!"

"Mudder May I dig rite heer?"

"Yes, Dante -- you May!"

"Mudder May I dig ovah heer?"

"Yes, Dante, you May."

"An' wot about heer?  May I?

"No you May not! -- You forgot to say "Mudder May I", declares Mother Nature.

"Oh well, I can't argue dere", says Dante.  "Mudder Naychur is always rite!"

EASY ON SUNDAY WITH DANTE: HIS ASS IS GRASS!

Today is a sunny Sunday, and the grass is getting long.  Dante is determined to enjoy it and sits himself down to soak it all in.

Dante's brilliant orange is a visual contrast to the bright green all around him.  And the sun kisses his fur here and there to give him a rather natural glow.

In this last series of pictures, it seems as if the sun has melted Dante into one large puddle of fur.  He appears  to be virtually boneless!

Dante makes no bones about it.  He says "I always likes to make a splash whereFUR I go!

CHAIRMANCAT LACOCOON DANTE

I'd like to introduce you to Chairmancat Lacocoon Dante.  He is the current occupant of the wicker chair on the front porch.  It offers a clear view of the street, so that any passersby may be properly scrutinized.

"It's a tuff job, butt sumwun hasta doo it", says Dante.

Well, it's that time of year again!  Time for sPURRing cleaning.  And the back yard is just the place to start.  All those dead leaves need to be swept away.

And Dante is no PURRocrastinator.
