Mama has dis thing about "gettin' some fresh air"! Since all dat white stuff got stuck on da ground, I'd radder stay inside where it's warm, but she has udder ideas.
Mama tole me "Al Fresco" means "in de fresh air". But, I dont know why she makes ME stay outside, when it's really "Al" who is "Fresco"! Yoo never heers anyone say "Dante Fresco" do yoo?
I gets captured and put on my leash. Heer I am sittin' on da frozen ground.
Is not so much fun, so I ask mama nicely if I can go back inside.
Much to my chagrin, she just says "You need some fresh air, Dante!" Ack!!!
So at leest I takes a spot on da porch where it is dry and not cold on my feets.
But suckah dat I am, I asks again. "Mama, may I pleez go inside now?"
Dat one wuz a 'no-go', too!
I tries my very bestest pleading. "Pleez, mama, pleez, purrty pleez? Fur da luff of Cod, let me in!"
An' do ya think she lissens to me? Of course not! Instead she decides ta take a movie pickshur of me suffering dese Arktick tempurratures!
Yoo will notice dat I tries my best ta ignore my Mama, but she just keeps on natterin'! Is not DAT cold, she says! Harumph! An' den she calls me a 'good boy'. Duz I need ta be frozen ta be a good boy? Is dat what it takes? A Dante pawpsicle?
Maybe if I poses nicely fur her, she will finally let me in.
Heer's a nice one! Mama says you shud BIGGIFY it fur da 'Wow' factor.
It's not over yet. Come back tomorrow, same time, same place to see what happens. Will I live happily and warmly efur after or NOT?
(Not quite) THE END
Oh..No! Poor Dante left out in the cold. Your momma has some splannin to do. Leaving a poor defensless kitty outside. I hopeyour story ends happily. Keep us posted.
We know it must be cold out there, but the photos of you are just fabulous, Dante! We hope your Mom lets you in soon!
Oh poor Dante, left out in the cold. That is not very nice!
Poor Dante, all cold an miserable. Do you need to move in with us Dante. We won't make you stay outside. But those are great pictures of you and we especially like the 'Dante pawsicle. Take care and have a super day.
We hope someone will purrsuade your mom to let you go inside in the warm
Oh poor Dante! We think you should get to go in if you really want to (though really in those pictures you do look happy - well in at least some of them!) We are sure your mom let you in at some point - she wouldn't let you turn into a Dantecicle!
I heard that's what happens when you have "Maine" as part of your name.
Tell your mama that Al Fresco is just for lovely warm summer days spent sipping Prosecco and nibbling on 'small plates' somewhere expensive...
I think she must be dreaming of summer?
Aw, Dante...Maybe if you sink your claws into her leg or hiss at her or something, she'll let you in. You're just too nice! ;-)
Re: the toys we got -- we played with the catnip toys Christmas Day, a bit since but not much. We love the feathered stick, it's got crinkly silver stuff on it too and it's fun to chase. The mom doesn't leave it lying around, though, in case we're tempted to eat it.
Derry's favourite toy still is a pipe cleaner (he got a package of 40 from Dollarama for Xmas), and Nicki seems to especially love the little mice that Peggy had included with the blankie from one of the auctions. (We had lots of those mice before, but most are "dead" now.)
Surprisingly, Derry has been using the little bed (not the cave) that we got; the mom has it on the sofa table behind the couch. And all three of us have taken turns in the plush cave; it's actually under the dining table right now--the mom doesn't eat there, she uses that as her laptop table!
Dante, you are such a handsome king of a mancat!!
You have all that warm fur, it will keep you in good condition getting some extyra fresh air.
Happy new year Love from Spider, Smudge and Kasabella.
Dante pawpsicle! That's funny!
Dante you looked chilly without your warm Santa cloak! I think your furs will suffice with that ice!
