EASY ON SUN-DAY WITH DANTE

It is truly a sunny Sunday and Dante is outside taking it in to the max!

He certainly has a sunny aura about him, today!

It looks like he's radiating the light from within.

Dante's coat has never looked so bright -- you can see every variation in hue.

 

His coat is not just bright, but so shiny, too!

He fairly glistens!

But now it's time to take our leave, so Dante can take it easy.  Tread lightly now, be careful not to wake him.

Even Sun Gods need their rest!

THURSDAY IN THE GARDEN WITH DANTE: LOOK WHAT I THAW!

It's a beautiful, sunshiny day in the front garden, and much warmer than usual.  It's obvious that some melting has taken place when Dante takes his first look.

"Oh, look at dat!", he says.  "I kin see sum grasses!"

And sure enough, there are bare patches underneath the trees -- little oases of hope that Spring is just around the corner.

Then Dante goes to check out the neighbour's porch, and look what he found!  There was a pool of fresh, cold water that had accumulated from the melting icicles.  Of course, he had to have a sip.

"Refweshing!", says Dante.

On his way back, Dante decided to take an ornamental turn beside the urn.

It's one of his official garden duties that he's been neglecting lately, so he pauses for a photoshoot.

 You must admit, Dante is a very URNest fellow.

And then, at the end of the garden walkway, Dante found another pool.

And in it, he THAW -- himself!

And, as a finale for today, here is a video of Dante lapping up the melted water along with a few extra minerals for good measure.  I just love that last look -- don't you?

THURSDAY IN THE GARDEN WITH DANTE: THEY'RE BACK!

Because it's Thursday, Dante is ready to resume his place on the bench.

Even if he can't do any gardening, he can always stand guard.  (I guess that still makes him a GUARDener!)

And, what does he see?

Why you've guessed it, of course!

They're back!!!

And they want nuts.

DANTE SPEAKS ON WORDLESS WEDNESDAY!

DANTE: VALENTINE'S YEARNINGS!

Dante and the beautiful Miss Camille Suzanne of "Our Family Catablog" have been dating for quite some time.  Unfortunately, they don't get to see each other all that often, but today is a happy exception.

Camille is on her way to meet Dante for a Valentine's date in Ottawa, where we live.

Dante has donned his special Valentine's shirt especially for her.  Real mancats DO wear pink, you know!  And Dante is the mancatliest of mancats.

Dante's outside waiting for Miss Camille Suzanne to arrive.

Efurry night he sees her in his dreams!

And she, too, thinks of him constantly.

Dante wants to show her his special Valentine's Day shirt.  It has a Peace sign on the back in the shape of a heart.  He's always been a bit of a hippie.

It's a tie-dyed shirt, too!  Just like they had in the '60s.

"I beleeves in troo luv an' a peaceful existence", says he.  "An' I feels dat I has YEARNed da rite to happyness."

"She's here, she's here -- let the bells ring out, and the banners fly!  She's here at last!"

But that wasn't the end of Dante's wait.  Once Camille Suzanne arrived, she had to go and powder her nose.

But all's well that ends well, and the end to this Valentine's Day story IS a happy one!

It's a regular LOVEFEST!
